TidyClip Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026

Summary

TidyClip does not collect any personal data. All data, including your clipboard history, stays on your Mac and is never transmitted to the developer or any third party.

Data Storage

Your clipboard history (text, images, links, etc.) is stored only in the app's local database on your device. There are no accounts and no servers. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.

Network Usage

The app uses the network only for:

Link previews: when you copy a URL, your device fetches the title, description, and thumbnail directly from that website. No developer server is involved. This can be disabled in Settings.
Apple system features: system-provided features such as downloading on-device language model assets for search or verifying App Store purchases may communicate with Apple, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Sensitive Content

Clipboard items marked as concealed by password managers (org.nspasteboard.ConcealedType) are never recorded in the first place.

Purchases

The Pro upgrade is processed by Apple's App Store in-app purchase system. The developer has no access to your payment information; purchase receipts are verified on-device only.
